Relationships... What is Important!

Calling on all married, engaged, dating, and single individuals....

There are so many people in this world that wonder what makes a working relationship and a relationship that will last!  I want to pose a question to each of you..

What do you consider when beginning dating someone?  What is the most important in creating and maintaining a Christ-based relationship with your significant other?

Leave a comment on this post (you need no account, just type your comment and post) and I am going to look through them and create a post with all our suggestions!

Think hard and share your best ideas!

God's Love.. through it ALL!

Something I want to share tonight is about God's love..

God's love is unconditional.  God doesn't love us because we go to church on Sunday mornings.  God doesn't love us because of our actions.  God doesn't love us because He is required to or has to.  God loves us without condition or requirement.

Romans 5:8 states that "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

The Bible doesn't tell us that God waited for us to do something or say something before He sent His son.  The Bible does tell us that God sent His son to save us from our sins and an eternity in Hell.  He sent His son to save us from that eternity and to give us an eternity with Him in heaven.

I feel like sometimes people forget what it means to be a christian.  Being a christian is not about an attendance record.  It is not about a church membership.  Church attendance is important because it is a time to learn even more than you can on your own about God. Church is also a great way to be with believers such as yourself and to have a support system to lean on and worship God with.  But no where in the Bible does the requirements for becoming a christian list that you must be in church on Sundays.

I say all this to say one last thing..  You may be dealing with a lot in your life.  You may feel like God is punishing you for something you have done.  You may feel like God is pushing you away.  You may even feel like you can't do anything to fix some problem that you have because God would not want to even know what is going in your life.  Here is my answer to all that!:

God loves you through it all.  He loves you unconditionally.  God knows what is going on in our lives.  He knows everything about us.  Even the things you don't want to tell Him about or give to Him, He already knows about them.  But the most important thing to remember is that being a christian is not about sitting in a pew on Sunday mornings.  Being a christian is about something bigger and more important:

It's about a relationship with a mighty and powerful God that we serve.  It's about the relationship you have with your savior!  Studying God's word, prayer, and showing others the love that God has through your actions and words.  That's what being a christian is all about!

God is a mighty and powerful God.  He knows what we are going through and the struggles we have.  But He also knows how much we have on us and He will NEVER give us more than we can handle.  He would never punish us for something that we do or not do.  That's not the God we serve.  The God we serve loves us through our faults and gives us opportunitites to show our love to others.

My prayer tonight is that you take this blog to heart.  If you have any questions or feel like you need someone to talk to, message me on Facebook or leave me a comment on this post.  I pray that your heart be filled with love and compassion and ways to show the love of God to others around you.

God, thank you for the opportunity to show your love through our lives to others.  Thank you for the love you have given us and will continue to give us until the end of ages.  I pray that the person reading this blog is filled with your love and understands the kind of love you give us.  But I also pray they would examine their own lives to see what you would still like to teach them God.  We love you and thank you for your very abundant blessings.  Amen!

God Bless!

While I'm Waiting!

This blog post is short and sweet.  I love this song and it shows that I am waiting for Him and His plan for my life.  I want everything to be solved right now and to know that I will have someone to spend my life with, to hold a teaching certificate, and all the uncertainty I am feeling in my life.  I want those answers now.  I want to know those things, because I am not being patient and waiting on MY GOD to put his plan in place.  So while I am still here and sometimes impatient, I am waiting!  I am waiting on my God, the all-mighty, to do the things HE wants, and in the times HE wants.
So I am waiting!

I'm waiting
I'm waiting on You, Lord
And I am hopeful
I'm waiting on You, Lord
Though it is painful
But patiently, I will wait

I will move ahead, bold and confident
Taking every step in obedience

While I'm waiting
I will serve You
While I'm waiting
I will worship
While I'm waiting
I will not faint
I'll be running the race
Even while I wait

I'm waiting
I'm waiting on You, Lord
And I am peaceful
I'm waiting on You, Lord
Though it's not easy, no
But faithfully, I will wait
Yes, I will wait

And I will move ahead, bold and confident
Taking every step in obedience

While I'm waiting
I will serve You
While I'm waiting
I will worship
While I'm waiting
I will not faint
I'll be running the race
Even while I wait

I will move ahead, bold and confident
I'll be taking every step in obedience, yea

While I'm waiting
I will serve You
While I'm waiting
I will worship
While I'm waiting
I will not faint

I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting on You, Lord
